Gymir fra Skardi is spectacular. He’s one of those horses that you just can’t stop staring at. He has exceptional, balanced conformation, great legs, short back, well spring ribs, powerful rear end, and an elegant outline. Gymir has one of the kindest and easiest to work with temperaments. To ride him is like driving a skiing boat – glass smooth and amazingly powerful. He has amazing presence, and passes on his excellent gaits, his great conformation, and good temperament. Every foal I’ve seen by him is even better than the mares he was bred to. Gymir really exemplifies what I’d like to one day produce, and I’m proud to have him play a prominent role in my horses bloodlines.
Gymir is by Ofeigur 882 Flugumyri (1st prize homogenous blue dun) and out of Svarta-Maria fra Skardi (1st prize black mare). He is a 1st prize stallion himself with a BLUP of 123.
